基本介紹 Introduction

　　八卦山賞鷹平台位於彰化平原北端，行政區屬彰化縣彰化市，恰與八卦山大佛為相對的另一個山頭的制高點，因地理位置及山脈走向特性，多樣性的生物資源提供灰面鵟鷹充足的食物來源，使得八卦山北段成為春季北返時，灰面鵟鷹大量群集遷徙必經的路線及夜棲點。平台周邊兩個山頭間的山谷地形，更是灰面鵟鷹捕食、下午落鷹及清晨起鷹的最佳觀賞場所。林相是以香楠、相思樹、血桐構成為主，土壤多為紅土，並不利於農作。

     Baguashan raptorwatch site is located at the north of Changhua Plain which belong to Changhua City, Changhua County. It is a mountain top face to Buddha Landmark. Because of the geography characteristic and biodiversity which provide sufficient food for Grey-faced Buzzard, North Baguashan is on its migration path and a rooting site in spring. The watch site is the best place observing Grey-faced Buzzard hawking, landing in the afternoon and taking off in the early morning in the valley. The Vegetation of Baquashan is composed of Machilus zuihoensis, Formosa Acacia, and Elephant's Ear. And most soil is red-earths which is not suitable for agricultural.

　　灰面鵟鷹每年過境八卦山區，早期承受到相當大的捕獵壓力，甚至有『南路鷹一萬死九千』的俗語出現。為推動生態保育觀念，杜絕灰面鵟鷹再被捕殺的噩運，彰化縣野鳥學會自民國81年成立，便以保護灰面鵟鷹為首要任務，同時進行過境猛禽數量調查，調查時間為灰面鵟鷹過境期，也就是每年的3~4月之間，累計將近21年的資料，歷年統計下，灰面鵟鷹每年均有二萬隻左右的過境數量。

     Grey-faced Buzzards pass mountain area of Baquashan every year. In early days, they were facing threats of being hunted. For promoting the concept of conservation and stop hunting Grey-faced Buzzards, Changhua Wild Bird Federation was established in 1992. Protecting Grey-faced Buzzards is their major mission. At the same time, they conduct migrating raptor count during every March to April. After 21 years monitoring, there are about 20,000 Grey-faced Buzzards pass Baquashan each year.

交通資訊 Direction

1. 路線一  Route A:

沿國道一號，下彰化交流道後往彰化市區方向，於中央路右轉並直行，左轉中山路（台1線）行駛，遇八卦山牌樓右轉上山行駛卦山路，並於縣道139左轉行駛，在16公里處，左側立有鷹柱雕像即可抵達賞鷹平台。

Take National Highway No. 1 to Exit Changhua toward downtown. Turn right at ZhongYang Road and go straight. Turn left at ZhongShan Road (Provincial Highway No. 1). Turn right at the decorated archway of Baguashan and drive along a mountain road, Guashan Rd. Turn left at County Highway No. 139 and go 16 Km to the vantage point for raptor watching with an eagle statue on the left.

2. 路線二 Route B:

沿國道三號，接中彰快速道路（74甲）往花壇、員林方向並直行，右轉縣道139行駛，在16公里處下車後往右側立有鷹柱雕像的道路前進，即可抵達賞鷹平台。

Take National Highway No. 3 becomes Zhong-zhang Expressway (Provincial Highway 74A) to Huatan and Yuanlin. Turn right at County Highway No. 139. Go 16 Km and stop at an eagle statue. Keep walking on the path with the eagle statue on the right to the vantage point for raptor watching.

灰面鵟鷹、赤腹鷹、魚鷹、蜂鷹、紅隼、遊隼、燕隼、東方澤鵟、鵟、蒼鷹

適合賞鷹季節 Seasons

在地猛禽：一年四季均可，如大冠鷲、鳳頭蒼鷹、台灣松雀鷹、黑翅鳶等。

For resident raptors (All seasons): Crested Serpent Eagle (Spilornis cheela), Crested Goshawk (Accipiter trivirgatus formosae), Besra (Accipiter virgatus), Black-shouldered Kite (Elanus caeruleus)

遷徙性猛禽：三月至四月，灰面鵟鷹、赤腹鷹、蜂鷹、燕隼等。

For migratory raptors (March to April): Grey-faced Buzzard (Butastur indicus), Chinese Goshawk (Accipiter solensis), Oriental Honey Buzzard (Pernis ptilorhynchus), Eurasian Hobby (Falco subbuteo).

其他度冬猛禽(彰化大城)：九月至十月，魚鷹、紅隼、遊隼、東方澤鵟、花澤鵟、灰澤鵟等。

Other winter migratory raptors in Dacheng, Changhua (September to October): Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus), Peregrien Falcon (Falco peregrines), Eastern Marsh-Harrier (Circus spilonotus), Pied Harrier (Circus melanoleucos), Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus).
